In the Spring of 2020, we launched a series of craft-based projects entitled 'Isolate & Create' — to help pass time during the first stages of the global lockdown. One of those projects was to build an origami pinwheel, which was the inspiration for this ring. In Harpers Bazaar's 'The Power of Creativity' feature, Carolina explained: 'A pinwheel is something fragile built at home but it doesn’t come alive until you take it outside and hold it in the breeze. Somewhere in that I saw a parallel for this moment — the worry, the boredom, the new habits — they all are a preparation to go out again and ‘stand in the breeze’. That is when we will all see what we have learned and hopefully find some meaning.'
