Carolina Bucci brings Forte dei Marmi to London’s Motcomb Street in an immersive exhibition celebrating Florentine craft.

The seaside town of Forte dei Marmi, a colourful yet quietly elegant enclave on the Versilia coast, serves as an ongoing source of inspiration for Florentine fine jewellery designer, Carolina Bucci.

Forte dei Marmi is where Carolina spent carefree summers, first as a child and later with her own children, making memories that would come to inform some of her most important work. It is where she first started creating jewellery, sitting on the beach making friendship bracelets with her sister and friends.

For a moment in time, Carolina brought the spirit of Forte dei Marmi to London’s Motcomb Street in an immersive installation highlighting some of the finest makers in Florentine craft.

In Carolina’s Forte dei Marmi you could find displays of FORTE Beads — endless combinations of semi-precious stones, to be strung and re-strung instinctively, shared and passed on. Fine materials and meticulous craftsmanship, approached with the same relaxed irreverence that sits at the heart of the Carolina Bucci philosophy.

A collection of dresses for women and girls, created in collaboration with Loretta Caponi, continued an ongoing creative dialogue between the two Florentine houses. The pieces reflected the emotive wishes behind Carolina’s signature Lucky bracelets — inspired by those original childhood friendship bracelets, reimagined in fine silk and 18k gold. Embroidered table linens and cashmere blankets adorned with Lucky charms extended the collection into home.

Silk scarves created with historic Florentine textiles maker Faliero Sarti were printed with Lucky bracelet strands and charms, designed to be worn loosely around the body.

A celebration of Italian savoir-faire, memory, and the rhythm of a summer spent under the Tuscan sun, Carolina’s Forte dei Marmi invited guests into a world where beauty is lived with spontaneity and ease.
