Downtown is a collection of necklaces and rings that builds on all the key codes of Carolina Bucci. Precious materials and colours are brought into irreverent juxtaposition, while the various componable elements of the necklaces and the customisable rings allow the wearer to create their own perfectly personalised statement piece.

A signature technique of Carolina Bucci first mastered in the family workshops in the 19th century, the Florentine Finish is a precise, time-consuming treatment with a beautiful reward. Every part of the gold is hand-beaten with a diamond-tipped tool, leaving faceted indentations on the surface and subtle sparkle that lasts. Simply put, it’s worth the hard work.

Precious jewellery is often passed down from generation to generation, connecting families to their past. With Carolina’s family, the same goes for the techniques to make them. The 1885 collection honours her great-grandfather’s workshops in Florence, and is inspired by the traditional Rollò link — reinterpreted with a modern, fresh and versatile twist.
