A signature technique of Carolina Bucci first mastered in the family workshops in the 19th century, the Florentine Finish is a precise, time-consuming treatment with a beautiful reward. Every part of the gold is hand-beaten with a diamond-tipped tool, leaving faceted indentations on the surface and subtle sparkle that lasts. Simply put, it’s worth the hard work.
From amethyst to yellow jade, these playful rainbows of precious hard-stone beads are an homage to summer nostalgia and creative freedom. Easily thread and rethread as much as the mood takes you. Precious jewellery is often passed down from generation to generation, connecting families to their past. With Carolina’s family, the same goes for the techniques to make them. The 1885 collection honours her great-grandfather’s workshops in Florence, and is inspired by the traditional Rollò link — reinterpreted with a modern, fresh and versatile twist.
